(where the original rules of golf were made). We are 10 minutes from Edinburgh city centre and within walking distance to the Waterfront" - where you will find the Royal Yacht Britannia, Ocean Terminal and the Scotland Office.
Superb 4 star accommodation that is warm and welcoming with tasteful surroundings. All rooms are non smoking with en-suite shower facilities. Some rooms have king , super-king, four-poster or sleigh beds.
A perfect place to unwind, this warm and welcoming Victorian guest house is 10 minutes from the city, and boasts tasteful interiors and well-designed rooms.
Sandaig is a family home and occupies 2 terraced Victorian villas dating from the 1870s. Some rooms have king, super-king, four-poster or sleigh beds, and all rooms have en suite facilities and Wi-Fi internet access.
There is a regular bus service into the city centre and a wealth of gourmet restaurants in the fashionable Water of Leith area (10 minutes away). Staff are more than happy to arrange fresh flowers or chocolates for a special occasion.
Sandaig has been awarded a ' Scottish Tourist Board' 4-Star Rating and is a member of the 'Welcome Host' Affiliation. Sandaig is recommended by the 'Entertainment Guide ' and is a member of the 'Arts Welcome Scheme'.

All of the charming, comfortable rooms are well equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base, including flat-screen TVs. Each room is attractive, tastefully decorated and well appointed, with large fluffy bath towels and crisp white sheets. Every room has an en suite bathroom with a power shower.

From the South:
- Take the A68 or A702.
From the North:
-Take the A9 then the M90.
From the West:
- Take the M8 motorway.
- Follow signs for 'Leith'. The guest house is situated overlooking 'Leith Links Park'.
By Bus:
From Waverly train station, the bus station and the city centre, take bus number 12 or 25. Tickets are GBP 1 or GBP 2.50 for an All Day Saver ticket (available at reception).
