  Ramsay's Bed & Breakfast, (4 rooms) description: The hotel does not have its own car park, but public parking is available nearby at an additional cost. Parking is available Monday to Friday, throughout the year, from 17:30 through until 08:30 the following day, free of charge. Parking is also free over the weekend, from 17:30 on Friday until Monday at 08:30. Parking at all other times is available at an additional charge and parking is always subject to availability.

This spacious Edinburgh townhouse offers high-quality bed and breakfast accommodation in a great location, just 5 minutes walk from the heart of the city and all it has to offer. Ramsay’s Bed & Breakfast is situated in East London Street on the eastern edge of Edinburgh's New Town, approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Princes Street, Waverley railway station and St. Andrew bus station. Edinburgh castle and many of the city’s fantastic sights and tourist attractions are also nearby, as are an interesting selection of restaurants, small eclectic shops and pubs. All of the rooms are comfortable, bright and modern with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and LCD televisions, as well as shampoos and toiletries in the en suite bathrooms. A full traditional Scottish breakfast, including haggis and black pudding, is included in all room rates and wireless broadband internet access is available throughout the building.

All of the rooms are comfortable, bright and contemporary, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base. Ramsay’s will happily accommodate families and travel cots can be provided at no additional cost.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
A full cooked Scottish breakfast is included in the room rate and is available from 07:30 to 09:00. Breakfast offers you the chance to try Scotland’s famous haggis, as well as the bed and breakfast’s black pudding. Continental and vegetarian options are also available. Those with special dietary needs can be accommodated by prior request. Please contact the hotel in advance in order to inform them of your requirements, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. Earlier breakfasts are available, subject to prior arrangement with Ramsay's Bed & Breakfast and the bed and breakfast can also provide packed lunches by prior arrangement.

AREA INFORMATION
The surrounding area offers a varied and interesting selection of restaurants, small eclectic shops and pubs, offering something for all tastes. The adjoining Broughton Street is home to the most famous organic food shop in Edinburgh and, across the street from the bed and breakfast is The Mansfield Traquair Centre, a former church designed by the prominent 19th century architect Sir Robert Rowand Anderson and completed in 1885. The Mansfield Traquair Centre’s most outstanding feature is the vast scheme of mural decorations painted in the 1890s by Scotland's leading arts and crafts artist Phoebe Anna Traquair (1852 - 1936).

TRAVEL INFORMATION
By Air: The hotel is approximately 7.5 miles (12 km) from Edinburgh Airport. The number 100 airport shuttle bus runs regularly every 10 minutes into the city. Take the shuttle bus and get off at the last stop (Waverley Bridge). From there, you can take a taxi from the taxi rank opposite the bus stop. The journey from the bus stop to Ramsay’s Bed & Breakfast should take about 5 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk following the instructions below. By Train: A taxi from Edinburgh Waverley train station should take about 5 minutes or, alternatively, you can walk. Head to the east end of Princess Street, towards St James Shopping Centre. Walk down on the left, past the shopping centre, to the bottom of this road, until you reach the pedestrian crossing. Cross here, heading towards the pub on the corner, called The Street. This is the top of Broughton Street. Walk down here on the right-hand side and, at the roundabout; turn right. Ramsay's Bed & Breakfast is on the right-hand side, opposite the church. By Bus: A taxi from Edinburgh's main bus station on St Andrews Square should take about 5 minutes or, alternatively, you can walk. Leave the bus station heading towards York Place (take a right turn as you come out of the back entrance of the bus station and this will take you on to York Place. At the end of York Place, there is a pedestrian crossing; cross, heading for the pub on the corner called The Street. This is the top of Broughton Street. Walk down here on the right-hand side and, at the roundabout; turn right. Ramsay's Bed & Breakfast is on the right-hand side, opposite the church.
