Harbour Apartments, (22 rooms) description: The thriving, modern waterfront development of Leith is home to the Scottish Executive, the Royal Yacht Britannia and the Ocean Terminal, a cosmopolitan and contemporary area that offers a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.
The very heart of Edinburgh city centre is just 20 minutes away. The number 10 Lothian bus service runs regularly between the city centre and Leith.
New Town Apartments offer an attractive alternative to traditional hotel accommodation. Run on a hotel basis, with a minimum one-night stay, the apartments offer all the freedom, independence and convenience of your own apartment at a more cost-effective price than a hotel room. With the flexibility of your own apartment, you can explore all that Leith and the magnificent city of Edinburgh have to offer, at your own pace.
The apartments’ on-site concierge can help with any tourist information that you need. The office is open and the concierge available from 08:00 to 20:00.
Please note that the apartments are based in the Leith redevelopment project. As this project is ongoing, some apartments will include views of work sites as well as the Firth of Forth.

ROOM INFORMATION Built for spacious and stylish living, all apartments have comfortable bedrooms, which can be arranged as twin or double rooms on request. All bed linen and towels are provided. Apartments are serviced once a week, with fresh bed linen and towels provided each time.
Additional servicing can be arranged at an additional cost.
The apartments have private bathrooms with powerful showers and baths.
The apartments have fully fitted kitchens with everything you need in order to be your own chef, including utensils, toasters, ovens, microwaves, washing machines and dishwashers
Each apartment has a lounge with a comfortable sofa, a TV and a DVD player.
Some apartments have views of the harbour, across the River Forth and over the city of Edinburgh. As the area of Leith is still undergoing extensive redevelopment, some apartments may also have views of building work in progress.

AREA INFORMATION Leith has played a leading role in Edinburgh’s strategic and economic growth for centuries. Leith is a dynamic fusion of traditional Scottish enterprise and cutting-edge style, bustling with cafés, bars, pubs, shops, cinemas and an eclectic mix of businesses. Now more lively than ever, the port of Leith gives you all the advantage of city life, with the timeless views across the River Forth providing an impressive backdrop.
The Royal Yacht Britannia is just 300 metres from the apartments. Britannia is the 83rd Royal Yacht since the restoration of King Charles II in 1660 and is now permanently moored as an exhibition ship at Ocean Terminal in Leith.
For a little retail therapy, the Ocean Terminal shopping centre is also just 300 metres from the apartments. The shopping centre houses around 85 stores, 4 restaurants, 3 coffee shops and a variety of bars, as well as a cinema and a day spa. Princes Street, Edinburgh's main shopping district, is approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) away.
Edinburgh Castle is about 3 miles (4.5 km) from the apartments. This magnificent ancient stronghold dominates the city’s skyline from its position atop Castle Rock. At once fascinating and beautiful, this historic castle is Scotland's second-most-visited tourist attraction.
TRAVEL INFORMATION By Air:
The apartments are approximately 8 miles (13 km) from Edinburgh Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport.
By Bus (from Edinburgh Airport):
The number 100 Airlink bus runs regularly between the airport and the city. The airport bus departs every 15 minutes. Guests should disembark at the Waverley Bridge terminus (opposite Waverley train station).
By Bus (from the city centre):
The number 10 Lothian bus service runs regularly between Princes Street in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre and Leith harbour, where the apartments are located.
By Car (from the city centre):
- From the bridge at Edinburgh Waverly station, cross diagonally right, over Princes Street, onto South St Andrew Street.
- Take a left onto St Andrew Square and then take the first right.
- Follow St Andrew Square down, and take the 2nd right onto Queen Street.
- From Queen Street, head along to York Place.
- At the traffic signals, continue forward until you reach Picardy Place roundabout.
- Turn left (1st exit) at the roundabout and head down past the Edinburgh Playhouse (on the right-hand side) until you reach another roundabout.
- Go straight over the roundabout (1st exit) and follow Leith Walk until the road forks. At these traffic signals, turn left onto Great Junction Street.
- Take the 2nd left onto Lindsay Road.
- Follow the road until you reach a roundabout and take the 2nd exit, following signs for the Western Harbour Development, The Element and The Next Generation Gym.
- Follow this road until you reach the final block. Reception is on the ground floor of block C. This is where you check-in and pick up your keys.
