Channings, (46 rooms) description: From the moment you walk in through the front door you know that you are going to be cosseted in luxurious comfort and excellent service. The welcoming hallway has comfortable armchairs beside a glowing fire, a chiming clock on the mantelpiece, and everywhere a real sense of quality and tradition. While near the centre of Edinburgh, the atmosphere is that of a charming townhouse.
Part of the beauty of the 4 star Channings Classic is that it is hidden in the tree-lined crescent of South Learmonth Gardens, away from the hubbub of the city's West End, yet only a ten-minute leisurely stroll away.

Our bedrooms are all individually decorated and located throughout the hotel.
Rooms are striking yet elegant, tailored and classic, with a combination of textured fabrics such as linen, silk, suede and velvet and deep, rich colours - providing comfortable and relaxing surroundings for you during your stay.
Many of the rooms offer breathtaking views of Edinburgh, while others overlook the private gardens (which are yours to enjoy in the warmer months as well as a sun terrace which captures the sun all day).

AREA INFORMATION
Channings enjoys a quiet location, set on a cobbled street overlooking private gardens, yet is only 10 minutes' walk from the West End, where you can explore the city's many tourist attractions, such as Princes Street, the main shopping area overlooking Edinburgh Castle.
Should you wish to stay very close to home, Channings is just a short stroll from the very fashionable area of Stockbridge, often described as a 'village within the city'. Relax and unwind as you enjoy the vibrant cafe-culture that has developed and wander through the many one of a kind boutiques and galleries which have emerged in recent years, making this one of Edinburgh's trendiest areas.

Parking Restrictions:
Car parking is available on South Learmonth Gardens and the surrounding area. This is charged at GBP 0.70 per hour (for a maximum of 4 hours), Monday - Friday from 08.30 to 17:30. Outside these times the parking is free of charge.
